For the last two seasons, the Cincinnati Bengals have been Super Bowl contenders, and some feel that this is the year that they will finally win their first world championship.
They are led by Joe Burrow, their ultra-skilled and steady quarterback who has been compared to arguably the two greatest QBs ever in Tom Brady and Joe Montana.
Burrow is currently in negotiations for a contract extension, and based on the contracts that have been handed out to other star signal-callers, he’s in line to secure a gigantic bag.
The Los Angeles Chargers just gave Justin Herbert a five-year deal worth $262 million, but Burrow says that he will get a deal done on his own timeline, per reporter Olivia Ray.
“It gets done when it gets done.”

When Burrow entered the NFL for the 2020 season, he suffered a severe knee injury, and some wondered if his career was in jeopardy.
But he returned the very next season and threw for 4,611 yards and 34 touchdowns while leading everyone in pass accuracy, and he led Cincinnati to the Super Bowl where they narrowly lost to the Los Angeles Rams.
The time to get the job done for Cincinnati is now despite the fact that their most important players are all young.
Wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase will also be up for a big contract extension soon, and some feel it could force the team to let go of key contributors such as Tee Higgins, their WR2.
But the window could very well be open for the Bengals to win it all this season after the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs lost JuJu Smith-Schuster, their most productive wideout in 2022, to the New England Patriots.
