Remember way back in 2021 when we are all collectively assessing what impact on the NFL and the Los Angeles Rams the Matthew Stafford trade would have?
Obviously, the trade was a huge success for the Rams, and in less than a calendar year, they were the Super Bowl Champions.
This sets the bar very high for all future offseason trades, and there have been plenty so far in 2022.
Matt Ryan, Carson Wentz, Deshaun Watson, Drew Lock, Russell Wilson, Mitchell Trubisky, Tyreek Hill, and Davante Adams have jumped teams.
Former NFL Executive Joe Banner weighs in on the discussion of the biggest impact offseason move during a recent episode of The Rich Eisen Show.
Banner believes it is Russell Wilson’s departure from Seattle and arrival in Denver.
What Banner Said About Wilson
He believes Russell Wilson’s ability plus the talent surrounding him in Denver are the ingredients that could lead to success.
Banner felt as though Wilson was “held back by the scheme in Seattle” in recent years.
There is no doubt that the city and fanbase are ready for Wilson to come in and work his magic.

They have been yearning for a franchise quarterback since Peyton Manning retired.
The Drawback For Denver
If Denver was in any other division, Banner would be talking about them more.
The fact that they are in a very competitive AFC West makes the trade less of a sure bet to get Denver into the playoffs.
Banner says that a very good team is going to end up in fourth place in that division.
Will it be Denver, Kansas City, Las Vegas, or the Los Angeles Chargers?
That is the big question.
AFC West Football Will Be Top Notch
Banner is not wrong about the AFC West.

The AFC West is a juggernaut now more so with Wilson in the mix in Denver.
Will Kansas City’s attempt to replace Tyreek Hill with JuJu Smith-Schuster be successful?
Las Vegas has a new coach in Josh McDaniels and Aaron Rodgers‘ favorite target in Davante Adams so they will be exciting to watch.
The Charger defense got a big boost when they added Khalil Mack.
That division will be fun to watch for all NFL fans in 2022.
