You don’t have to be a specialist in MLB to truly appreciate Shohei Ohtani‘s enormous talent to play baseball: it’s evidently clear that he is head and shoulders above of the competition just because of the fact that he can hit like a top slugger while pitching like an ace.
Ohtani gets respect not only by MLB fans, analysts, and writers, but also from stars from other leagues and sports.
Defensive lineman JJ Watt, one of NFL’s most dominant defensive players over the last decade, was the latest star to acknowledge Ohtani’s obvious and unique talent.
“I have the utmost respect for what this man is doing at the highest level of his sport. The ability to perform two completely different tasks at the highest possible level on a consistent basis against the best in the world is absolutely incredible,” Watt tweeted.
He also uploaded a picture with the Japanese star, who plays for the Los Angeles Angels.

The picture appears to be in an MLB clubhouse: the Angels have their spring training camp in Arizona, and Watt, who plays for the Cardinals in the NFL, likely stopped by.
Ohtani Will Try To Get The Angels Into October
Ohtani will have a huge responsibility on his shoulders: lift the Angels to the postseason.
They haven’t been there since 2014, long before Ohtani appeared onto the scene.
Now that Mike Trout and Anthony Rendon are healthy, Ohtani looks like he is going to get some much-needed help.
Last year, he slugged 46 home runs and struck out 156 hitters with a 3.18 ERA in 130.1 innings from the mound, earning MVP honors.
The Angels’ postseason hopes largely depend on what he can do for an encore.
