Jimmy Butler joined the Miami Heat ahead of the 2019-20 NBA season as part of a four-team sign-and-trade, and many criticized the organization for the decision.
After all, at that point in his career, Butler was essentially labeled as a ‘locker room cancer’ by many.
However, Butler has proved his critics wrong by leading the Heat to two NBA Finals since his arrival, albeit losing both times.
Many have started to notice a similar trend for the Heat each year as they turn things up a notch after the NBA All-Star break and go all out during the playoffs.
With that being said, Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat have seemingly entered that mode following their win over the New Orleans Pelicans.
Butler sent a strong message about the team after the 106-95 win against the Pelicans, as revealed via Brady Hawk on Twitter.
“I don’t think it matters who we go up against right now. It’s that time of the year,” Butler said.

Butler dominated the Pelicans in just 27 minutes of playing time as he finished the game with 23 points, 9 rebounds, and 6 assists.
The Heat are now on a three-game winning streak as the team continues to improve it’s record this season.
Although the Heat are now the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference with a 31-25 record, the job is far from over for them.
But Butler is confident in his team’s skills as he claimed that it doesn’t matter who the Heat face off against during this time of the year.
Can Butler manage to lead the Heat to a top-six seed in the East when it’s all said and done? Only time will tell.
