Jimmy Butler was having a blast on Monday night as his Miami Heat closed out the Chicago Bulls.
At one point during the game, he performed a vintage sky hook play to score an easy two points.
He was so excited about the play that fans could hear him yell “sky hook!” during the shot.
Following the game, Butler spoke about that moment.
According to Legion Hoops, Butler said, “I’m in a three-point shooting slump right now so I gotta go to what I know, which is the sky hook.”

Butler’s three-point slump has been ongoing for some time now, so he is right to try and change things up and find other ways to score.
And if he does so by impressing the crowd and the rest of his team, that’s even better
He was 0-of-2 from beyond the arc on Monday night, and 2-of-6 just a few nights before.
Butler, the team’s official leader and centerpiece of most offensive plans, won’t let that stop him, hence the sky hook.
Even with Butler’s trouble from downtown, the Heat have been on a tear lately and are one of the best teams in the East.
There was a lot of speculation about Miami because of their anti-climatic summer.
There weren’t many changes made to the team but they lost some key players and fans were fearful that they were about to slip into a slump.
That hasn’t been the case: the team has a 9-5 record and has won eight of their last nine games.
Even with his three-point issues, Butler has still posted 21.4 points and 5.3 rebounds per game, showing that he has plenty of ways to score and lead his team.
