The Miami Heat finished the job.
It wasn’t always pretty or easy, but they sure got the job done when it mattered the most.
And even though Jimmy Butler got most of the credit and was named Eastern Conference Finals MVP, Caleb Martin was actually the team’s most consistent driving force throughout this series.
Martin closed out the series on a high note with a 26-point, 10-rebound double-double on 60% from the floor, and some even think he got robbed of that award.
However, as much as this breakout game could’ve been a bit of a surprise for most NBA viewers, Butler claims this was far from shocking for them, citing that they always see him ball out in practice, and hoping that he’s finally put the world on notice about his talents.

Needless to say, it’s highly unlikely that Martin will be able to keep this going for the long run, but there have always been players who rise up to the occasion in the playoffs, and he might as well be another example of that.
All NBA players could have a breakout game or series on any given night; that’s why they’re there.
Even those bottom-of-the-bench kind of guys would give you trouble, and Martin paid Erik Spoelstra back for all that confidence by responding when his team needed clutch buckets and three-point shooting.
The Heat will have Tyler Herro back for the NBA Finals, but the fans can rest assuredknowing that Martin will hold down the fort while he works his way back.
