Jimmy Butler’s days with the Miami Heat appear to be numbered.
After losing 128-115 to the Indiana Pacers on Thursday night, Miami has a record of 17-15 and is now in sixth place in the Eastern Conference.
After the loss, Butler chatted about his thoughts regarding his future with his current team.
“I want to see me get my joy back from playing basketball. Wherever that (new team) may be, we’ll find out soon. I want to get my joy back,” Butler said in front of the Miami media on Thursday night.
Jimmy Butler said after tonight’s game that he will probably not get his joy back playing basketball until he’s traded from the Heat:

There is no doubt that Butler has helped reinvigorate this Heat organization.
Since the former Most Improved Player arrived in 2019, he has helped the Heat reach multiple NBA Finals and made multiple All-Star appearances.
However, throughout Butler’s Heat career, this team has struggled in the regular season, and this current roster appears to have a similar outlook.
Butler himself has also never played in more than 65 games in one season with the Heat due to injury.
In a way, it feels as if these comments from the All-NBA defender indicate that he is certainly looking to be traded soon.
If he were to be traded before the league’s trade deadline, it could be interesting to see where he lands.
You can never count out the Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Lakers, or other notable teams looking to make a splash.
But right now, all Butler can do is play his game and let the chips fall where they may.
