The New York Jets are still looking for a new quarterback.
One player they were very interested in was former Las Vegas Raider quarterback Derek Carr.
But, he is now off the board after signing with the New Orleans Saints.
The Jets are not deterred from missing out on Carr.
They now have their sites set on a four-time league MVP.
Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is one player that could be available.
The Packers have even permitted Rodgers to speak with the Jets and figure out if there is a mutual interest.
It seems like Green Bay is ready to move on from Rodgers.
They are looking to turn their franchise over to Jordan Love, and trading Rodgers would be the best move for them.
Even though the Jets would have to give up a substantial trade package, it might be worth it for them.
The Jets have a very good roster, and all they need is a quarterback to lead the way.
Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner is already starting the recruiting process for Rodgers.
“I promise if you become a Jet, I won’t pick you off in practice & I’ll burn the cheesehead” Gardner tweeted.
Aye @AaronRodgers12 I promise if you become a Jet, I won’t pick you off in practice & I’ll burn the cheesehead😶 https://t.co/YTVj4H7ZRQ

Rodgers to the Jets would be a very interesting move.
He is already one of the most polarizing players in the NFL, and him in the New York media would be interesting.
Plus, the AFC East is one of the tougher divisions in football.
Rodgers would have to compete with the Bills, Dolphins, and Patriots just to get into the playoffs.
Not to mention all the great AFC quarterbacks that are outside the AFC East.
If Rodgers wants to continue playing it seems unlikely it will be in Green Bay.
But, you never know what can happen over these next few weeks.NEXT: Jets Insider Reveals An Important Aaron Rodgers Development
