The New York Jets have seemingly turned the page into a new chapter in their history, even if it will be a brief one.
They recently traded for future Hall-of-Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers, giving them their first big-name signal-caller since another former Green Bay Packer by the name of Brett Favre.
As a result, the Jets’ quarterback unit has been ranked seventh by ESPN, which is the highest it has been ranked in many years.
It's been a long time since we've seen the Jets this high in a QB ranking. https://t.co/p9EedmRSlv

If Rodgers has a strong year, he will give New York their first top-level QB since Joe Namath about half a century ago.
Since their win in Super Bowl III, they have struggled to become legitimate championship contenders, with the exception of the 2009 and 2010 seasons.
Back then, their starter under center was Mark Sanchez, who never made the Pro Bowl in eight NFL seasons.
The Jets boast a well-balanced roster right now, headlined by Rodgers, Defensive Rookie of the Year Sauce Gardner, and Offensive Rookie of the Year Garrett Wilson.
They have also brought in two of Rodgers’ teammates with the Packers in wide receivers Allen Lazard and Randall Cobb, as well as offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett, who held that role in Green Bay from 2019 to 2021.
It has set up what should be a fierce battle for the AFC East title next season.
The Buffalo Bills are thought to be the top dogs, while the Miami Dolphins have seemingly taken a step forward with the acquisition of veteran star cornerback Jalen Ramsey, and the New England Patriots could be somewhat improved.
