Over the past couple of years, superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers has flirted with the idea of calling it a career and hanging up his cleats for good.
However, that thought process was while he was with the Green Bay Packers, and by all indications, he was miserable in Wisconsin despite putting up some impressive numbers outside of last season.
Before being traded to the New York Jets, Rodgers seriously contemplated retirement, and if he came back, which obviously he ultimately did, he’d only play for one more season.
Now that he’s in New York and getting used to his new surroundings and teammates, it seems Rodgers has taken a deep breath of fresh air and appears rejuvenated, which leads Jets head coach Robert Saleh to think he’ll be sticking around for more than one year in the Big Apple.
Saleh recently spoke to the media and gave his thoughts on how long he thinks Rodgers will play, and he believes the four-time NFL MVP will play multiple years, via Paul Andrew Esden Jr. of Heavy Sports.

It’s easy to make this statement right now with nothing on the line during training camp and no real adversity for Rodgers to deal with, but that will soon change once the 2023 NFL season gets underway and the pressure starts to mount.
The Jets will head into the 2023 campaign as legitimate title contenders in the AFC, which means the pressure will be on immediately, especially for a team in the biggest sports market in this country.
If Rodgers can get through that unscathed, there’s a chance he might play a few more years, but there’s a lot of football to be played between now and next offseason.
