The New York Jets shocked many when they were able to get the best of the Houston Texans at MetLife Stadium, as many had written off Aaron Rodgers and company as a team that will continue to fail to live up to expectations.
With the Jets fresh off their third win of the season and showing signs of life after a rough start to the 2024 campaign, they will try to keep their playoff hopes alive as they take on the Arizona Cardinals in Week 10.
If the Jets can get a win on the road against the Cardinals, who are coming off an impressive blowout of the Chicago Bears that extended their win streak to three games, New York might be able to create some more momentum for its season.
It seems head coach Jeff Ulbrich has one game plan in particular against the Cardinals, as he’s determined to contain star running back James Conner.
“We did a whole tackling presentation on [James Conner], which we never do, on how to tackle this guy. He is unique in a lot of ways, it’s going to be a great challenge. If you don’t stop him, you don’t stop the Cardinals,” Ulbrich said, via Paul Andrew Esden Jr. of The Score 1260.
Interim #Jets HC Jeff Ulbrich did something rare in his preparation ahead of the #Cardinals game.

In nine games, Conner has rushed for 664 yards and four touchdowns on 147 carries, which puts him sixth in rushing yards in the NFL so far this season.
The real question for the Jets is whether they have what it takes to contain Conner while also making sure quarterback Kyler Murray doesn’t have a big game.
