The New York Jets are looking to hire a new General Manager and Head Coach.
There are only so many positions of that kind in the league, so despite all the rumors and reports about their dysfunction as a franchise, multiple people will still be interested in taking those jobs.
According to a report by Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer, the Jets are targeting Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn.
The Jets have put in a request to interview Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn for their head-coaching job, per sources. He was the team's first-round pick in 1994 and played corner for eight seasons for the team.

They submitted a formal request to interview him.
Glenn has ties to the organization.
The Jets selected him in the first round in 1994, and he played cornerback there for eight seasons.
The Detroit Lions could also lose their other top assistant coach, as Ben Johnson has gauged plenty of interest around the league.
Reports state that Johnson isn’t interested in the Jets’ head coaching position and has even made it known, so the team will not submit a request to interview him.
The Jets used to have one of the best defenses in the league before Robert Saleh’s dismissal.
Glenn would be a solid fit in that regard, as he could help the team regain that now-lost identity.
The Jets are expected to go through some drastic changes in the offseason.
Reports state that they will be in the hunt for a new quarterback as well, with Aaron Rodgers’ future in the league being up in the air.
The first order of business, however, will be finding a head coach to straighten the course of the ship once and for all.
