The Denver Broncos have officially pulled the plug on the Russell Wilson experiment, and it seems to have extended beyond the future Hall of Fame quarterback.
He is headed to the Pittsburgh Steelers after playing with the Broncos for two seasons and missing the playoffs both years, but the Broncos also traded wide receiver Jerry Jeudy to the Cleveland Browns for a fifth and sixth-round pick in April’s draft.
Via the Browns’ official Twitter account, Jeudy recorded a message for Browns fans, saying he’s “ready to get to work.”

In four NFL seasons, Jeudy has been perceived as somewhat of a disappointment — his best year came in 2022 when he caught 67 passes for 972 yards and six touchdowns.
But he is just 24 years of age (he will turn 25 in late April), and perhaps he’s still early enough in his career to break out on a new team and in a new environment.
As a member of the Browns, Jeudy will be on a team that established an identity last season when it went 11-6 despite season-ending injuries to star running back Nick Chubb and quarterback Deshaun Watson, and he will be surrounded by capable skill players who can take some pressure off of him.
Cleveland has Pro Bowl wide receiver Amari Cooper and Pro Bowl tight end David Njoku, and thus Jeudy won’t have the burden of having to be his team’s main offensive threat.
The team is hoping both Chubb and Watson return to form in 2024, and if they do, the team should have a good chance of doing some damage in the playoffs.
