No matter what changes they make and regardless of the inspired speeches in the locker room, the New York Jets can’t seem to figure out a way to get back on track this season, as they have now lost seven out of their last eight games and will almost certainly miss the NFL playoffs in a season where they had Super Bowl aspirations.
From a coaching change to acquiring a superstar wide receiver, the Jets haven’t looked much different all season long, and now interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich has to answer difficult questions every week in the toughest media market in the country.
Fortunately for New York, the team is heading into their bye week, which couldn’t come at a better time in order for this struggling franchise to get some time off and reset before heading into Week 13 against the Seattle Seahawks.
Ulbrich revealed what he told his team heading into the bye week.
“We have to take a deep dive into who we are. Just be completely honest, hear the criticisms, and grow from the criticisms; that’s not just players. That’s coaches as well. Not being stubborn to the point where anybody is pointing the finger at anyone else other than themselves,” Ulbrich said.

At this point in time, the Jets and their players will hope to get through the rest of the 2024 campaign without any long-term severe injuries while potentially winning a few more games to keep their pride intact.
With the Jets falling flat again this year, it’ll be interesting to see what happens during the offseason and what moves can be made to either upgrade this roster or blow things up and start from scratch.
