Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics just had the best season of his career.
He’s now an NBA champion and two-time gold medalist who is making a ton of money because of his new contract.
Yet, there are still people criticizing his accomplishments, especially because he didn’t get a lot of time on the floor during the Olympics and failed to win Finals MVP in June.
But Tatum has faith that he will claim that coveted trophy someday.
Speaking to NBA TV, per NBACentral, Tatum said Finals MVP will be his at some point.
He noted that Stephen Curry received four rings and only one Finals MVP once, while others like Isiah Thomas and Larry Bird didn’t win that prize every time.
“I know that I’m gonna win Finals MVP one day,” Tatum confidently said.

Tatum said he did a lot to help his team win the championship a few months ago.
It wasn’t just one or two players who made their victory possible and Tatum will push back against claims that he didn’t contribute.
He is sure that the Celtics will get back to the Finals and he is also sure that he will win Finals MVP.
Tatum is being held to a very high standard and it’s been a while since a superstar like him received so many negative comments about his performances.
It’s impossible to deny that Tatum is having the greatest stretch of his career right now.
His Celtics were the best team in the league, they won the Finals after years of trying, he earned another gold medal in Paris, and he also has a massive contract.
Things are going incredibly well for Tatum, no matter what some people say.
