The Boston Celtics are going through it right now.
They were on the verge of making history and becoming the very first team to come back from a 3-0 deficit in the NBA playoffs, but they were never a threat to the Miami Heat in Game 7.
And with all the speculation about Jaylen Brown’s future with the organization, Jayson Tatum wanted to make it clear that he fully intends for his All-NBA teammate to be there for the long run.
"It's extremely important."

Tatum and Brown have been one of the best tandems in the league for years now.
However, the narrative around them has always been that they can’t seem to win together, even after they made it to the NBA Finals last season.
That narrative will be all over the news this offseason as well, especially considering how poorly Brown performed in the final couple of games of the series.
Brown is eligible to sign a five-year supermax contract extension worth nearly $300 million, meaning the Celtics could commit nearly $600 million to just two players.
Having two All-NBA-caliber players will always put a team in a position to compete for a championship, but it might not be the wisest idea, salary cap-wise.
Brown has been tangled up in multiple rumors throughout the years, and the Celtics have made it clear that they’re Tatum’s team until further notice.
He’s still under contract for another season and Brad Stevens could look to take a wait-and-see approach, but it doesn’t seem like Brown’s continuity with the team is a certain thing right now.
