Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics has been waiting all his life to get to the NBA Finals.
Now, thanks to the hard work of him and his teammates, that’s exactly where the Celtics are.
However, things aren’t going smoothly at this moment and the Celtics are currently down 3-2 to the Golden State Warriors.
That means they are just one game away from the season being over.
Jayson Tatum has broken a LeBron James playoff record.
Unfortunately for him, it's most turnovers in a single postseason:

Tatum has been a huge part of the team’s surge this year but he’s also been experiencing a serious problem during the playoffs.
He has now broken a record set by LeBron James, but it’s not a good one.
He now has the most turnovers in a single postseason, with 95.
That’s just one more than James’ record of 94 from 2018.
Despite his turnover issue, Tatum is an essential part of Boston’s future.
Tatum Turnovers
In the Finals alone, Tatum has 18 turnovers against the Warriors.
That beats Golden State’s turnover leader, Steph Curry, by five.
It’s obviously something that Tatum needs to work on but it’s also a sign of how important he is for the team.
He is racking up a lot of turnovers because he has the ball a lot, which is generally a good thing.
It’s also a sign that other teams are targeting him intensely, which also signifies how important he is for Boston’s offense.
This is Tatum’s best showing in the postseason and his first Finals appearance.
That means that it’s a brand new experience and Tatum admittedly has a lot to learn.
Working on securing every possession is definitely something that Tatum needs to pay attention to.
Other teams will do everything they can to keep the ball away from Tatum, including swiping it out of his hands.
