The Boston Celtics slowly but surely transformed into the best team in the NBA over the last few seasons.
That was because of multiple figures within the franchise, including superstar Jayson Tatum and head coach Joe Mazzulla.
Speaking to Daniel Donabedian and the press, Tatum talked about his relationship with Mazzulla.
“I love Joe to death,” Tatum said, before adding that his coach truly does believe in the team, has come into his own over the years, and works with his players instead of simply instructing them.

Mazzulla has become a very important part of the Celtics culture since being hired as head coach a few years ago.
He entered that position in a very complicated way because he stepped up when previous coach Ime Udoka was suspended and then fired.
He was leading a team that had a lot of postseason success but had fallen short of their goals.
Mazzulla knew he had a ton on his plate and many things to accomplish.
Some people felt he was too young and too inexperienced to lead the Celtics to the promised land in the playoffs.
But they are now reigning champions and Mazzulla helped make that happen without committing too many changes to the way the team worked.
His unshakeable belief in Boston has helped them find more confidence.
Now they are the top team in the league but they still have a lot to prove.
Mazzulla has made it clear that he’s not going to rest until the Celtics win another championship.
Mazzulla believes in Tatum and the rest of his players and they obviously believe in him too.
