Marcus Smart of the Memphis Grizzlies was recently married and his wedding brought out a bunch of NBA stars.
But it also brought out a pretty big R&B star as well.
Abby Jiu Photography, via NBACentral, shared an image from the event and it featured Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics, which obviously isn’t surprising considering he grew close with Smart during their years together.
On Tatum’s arm was his girlfriend Ella Mai.

These two have been reportedly seeing each other for some time now.
But they have kept their relationship mostly out of the limelight so it’s rare to see them together in public.
Mai first started to get recognition years ago when her first four-track EP made a big splash on SoundCloud.
Since then, she has earned more attention and praise and has released hit songs like “Boo’d Up” and “Trip.”
Tatum and Mai have been dating since 2020, according to most reports.
But their relationship has always been mostly a rumor because they have been so secretive and private about their status as a couple.
However, they appear to be very happy and close in the image released from Smart’s wedding.
Tatum has never been the sort of player to talk about his private life that much.
Although he has definitely been open about his young son and has introduced him to the press and Boston’s fanbase, much of his off-court activities have been kept under wraps.
But a wedding is a time for celebration with friends and loved ones so Tatum obviously was comfortable with the whole world seeing his affection for his girlfriend.
