Last summer, the Boston Celtics handed Jaylen Brown a five-year, $304 million contract extension.
Brown signed the richest contract in NBA history.
As good as Brown is, many have trolled the Celtics superstar for his inability to perform at the highest level in the NBA playoffs.
On top of that, the 27-year-old has also been criticized for struggling to shoot well from his left side.
Although Brown’s game still has a few flaws, the Celtics star sent a huge message to his critics after the win against the Phoenix Suns, via NBACentral.
“Some of the stuff you could say about me last year you can’t say anymore,” Brown said.

Jaylen Brown is currently playing the eighth season of his NBA career.
During his time in the league, Brown has improved his skills.
Brown averaged just 6.6 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 0.8 assists per game in his rookie season.
Fast-forward to this season, Brown is averaging 23.1 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game for the Celtics.
He also made the third NBA All-Star selection of his career, fresh after earning his first-ever All-NBA selection last season.
Brown’s performance has been key for the Celtics in winning games this season.
The 17-time NBA champions currently have a 52-14 record, as they remain the number one seed in the Eastern Conference.
Brown also showcased his talent against the Suns by adding 37 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists in just 33 minutes of playing time.
As a result, the Celtics registered a solid 127-112 win over the Suns.
Can Brown continue playing at this level during the 2024 playoffs?
