The NBA All-Star Game is a fun way for fans and players to celebrate the league and watch amazing athletes put on a show.
But that doesn’t mean some people are completely happy with it.
Over the years, numerous players, coaches, and analysts have commented on the lack of defense in the game.
Indeed, the All-Star Game isn’t a place to see people play very defensive basketball.
“That’s not basketball,” Jaylen Brown said. Called the game a glorified “layup line” and said he hoped there was a way to make the game more competitive. Obviously no real defense played tonight

Following Sunday night’s game, Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown sounded sour on the whole event.
“That’s not basketball,” Brown said.
He added that the match was a “layup line” and hoped that there would be ways to make the game more competitive and serious in the years ahead.
Brown was a member of Team LeBron, who lost.
And he did a lot of great things for that defeated team, scoring 35 points, 14 rebounds, and 5 assists during his 25 minutes on the court.
No one really thinks the All-Star Game holds much importance or impact on the rest of the season.
But should that be the case?
Is there a way to turn the game into something that actually affects the rest of the year and encourages players to defend and take things seriously?
Or will it remain a chance for fans to see the flashiest plays of the season?
A lot of people watch the All-Star Game and it gives players a chance to kick back and relax a bit before the second half of the season.
For that reason, you shouldn’t expect any big changes despite what Brown said.
