The Detroit Lions won on opening night of the 2023 NFL season in impressive fashion.
The team overcame a six-point fourth-quarter deficit to pull off a 21-20 victory.
David Montgomery and Amon-Ra St. Brown showed up unfazed by the bright lights of Arrowhead Stadium.
Jared Goff also deserves praise for a masterful performance behind center.
But lost in the Lions’ victory over the defending Super Bowl champions was the continuation of Goff’s impressive streak.

After Week 1, the three-time Pro Bowl quarterback has extended his interception-free streak to 359 passing attempts.
That’s the third-longest streak in NFL history behind Aaron Rodgers’ 402 and Tom Brady’s 399.
Taking care of the ball helped the Lions inch their way back into the game.
While it’s an impressive streak, Goff doesn’t think much about it.
According to the Detroit Free Press’s Dave Birkett via NFL.com, the former Cal standout said:
“You guys are talking about it way too much. I haven’t thought about it once.”
However, what is on Goff’s mind is the Lions’ opportunity for a 2-0 start for the first time since 2017.
Standing in their way are the Seattle Seahawks, a team that lost their season opener to the Los Angeles Rams.
The Detroit crowd will be cheering loudly for their team’s home opener.
