Before their Week 7 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens, the Detroit Lions and quarterback Jared Goff were riding high with an impressive 5-1 start to the 2023 season.
But the contest against the Ravens took place, and the Lions were handed a gigantic piece of humble pie.
Baltimore won the game by a final score of 38-6, as Detroit had no answers for anything the Ravens did out on the field.
In a recent interview with NFL Network’s Rich Eisen, Goff shared his thoughts on the disaster that was the Lions’ performance in Baltimore.
“We got taken care of pretty good. I think Baltimore is a great team. They did a great job with us and we really didn’t do a great job in any aspect.”
What happened in Baltimore and how to fix it moving forward? And what makes @amonra_stbrown so special?

Just about everything that could have gone wrong went wrong for the Lions in their embarrassing loss to the Ravens.
Goff, who was sacked five times by Baltimore, finished the matchup with 280 passing yards, no touchdowns, and one interception.
It’s not that the veteran quarterback and the rest of Detroit’s offense played terribly against the Ravens, but they just had their backs up against the wall almost immediately after Baltimore quickly jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter.
The loss is just the second of the season for the Lions, but it’s a result that could potentially stick with the team for longer than they would like.
Detroit was believed to be an NFC contender heading into Week 7, but the outcome of the game against the Ravens made it pretty clear that the Lions still have plenty to work on this year.
Can Detroit fix up their problems sooner than later, or will their struggles continue in Week 8 when they take on the Las Vegas Raiders?
