Detroit Lions young star Jameson Williams could be back on the field earlier than expected.
The Alabama product had his gambling-related suspension cut back a couple of games after the league changed its policy on that matter.
And while HC Dan Campbell stated that they’re going to take things slowly with him as they bring him back to action, it seems like he has a slightly different plan for his return.
He’s going to pay tribute to NFL legend Deion Sanders by wearing his vintage white Nike Air DT Max 96 in his first game back to the field.
When asked about it, the young star claimed that he’s also “Prime Time,” so it’s only natural he wears Prime’s cleats (via ESPN Fantasy Sports).

Campbell claimed that it wouldn’t be fair to put Williams through a heavy workload in his first game back, so chances are that he’s going to be on a snap count.
The rising duo of Sam LaPorta and Amon-Ra St. Brown are likely to continue getting most of Jared Goff’s attention, but it shouldn’t take long before Williams establishes himself as another prime target — no pun intended.
Besides his gambling-related suspension, Williamson had been dealing with a hamstring injury, so he wasn’t able to do much work over the past couple of months.
He’s a talented route-runner with elite change of gears and directions, and a perennial big-play threat thanks to his impressive speed.
The Lions are already one of the teams to beat in the NFC and the No. 1 candidate to win their division, and they just got better with this reinforcement.
