The NBA offseason has started to die down a bit, with NBA Summer League now over and free agency slowing down to a crawl, with most players already having signed contracts to stay or leave their teams from last season.
Although most player movement has slowed down considerably, two superstars in the league are still wondering where they’ll end up playing next season after making trade requests recently.
Superstar guard Damian Lillard of the Portland Trail Blazers wants to play for the Miami Heat, but his current team isn’t jumping at offers made by the Heat, as they intend to do their due diligence to see if there are better deals out there despite Lillard’s desire to play for Miami.
Another superstar waiting to hear what the future holds for him is James Harden of the Philadelphia 76ers, who opted into the final year of his deal with the team only to turn around and ask to be sent elsewhere.
As Harden waits for a trade, with his desired destination being the Los Angeles Clippers, the former NBA MVP has updated his Twitter profile to erase any affiliation with the 76ers, via Sixerdaily.

At this point, Harden has cut ties with the 76ers and is more than ready to move on, as he seemingly doesn’t have much faith in Philadelphia being a real threat to win it all, or he just wants to play for a potential title contender in his hometown of Los Angeles.
Although Harden wants to play for the Clippers, the 76ers are taking their time to find the right deal that brings back a return in which the team can continue to contend in the Eastern Conference, which could take some time.
