Ja’Marr Chase has recently made headlines due to comments he recently made about Joe Burrow.
Burrow is slated to miss several weeks of Cincinnati Bengals team activities, which could bleed into the regular season.
Chase indicated that Burrow shouldn’t return until Week 5 and that the team would be fine without him.
In a later interview with FOX9 via Jeremy Rauch, Chase clarified these comments.
“I just want him to be 100 percent healthy,” Chase said.

The Bengals have their eyes set on the postseason, as they look to make their third-straight AFC Championship.
In Chase’s mind, it appears that he’s more focused on Burrow’s late-season availability.
If that means taking a few weeks of the regular season off, so be it.
There are a lot of unknowns about Burrow’s situation, and there hasn’t been a timetable for when he’ll return to the field.
For now, the Bengals’ backup is Trevor Siemian, who has started 30 career games.
If Burrow does miss time, what will that mean for Chase and the rest of the offense?
Chase seems unbothered by this scenario and continues to believe that Burrow should sit out.
In his first two seasons, Chase has demonstrated that he’s a top receiver in the league.
He might miss Burrow at first, but the best players seem to adapt to their quarterbacks, no matter who it is.
Fans haven’t seen what this offense looks like without Burrow since the 2020 season.
