Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase took the league by storm during his rookie year.
He played all 17 games and established the league’s new record for most receiving yards by a rookie with 1,455.
The former LSU standout also had 13 touchdowns and averaged 18 yards per reception.
Those numbers were enough to name him the 2021 Offensive Rookie of the Year.
More importantly, he was a solid contributor during the Bengals’ Super Bowl run.
Though the Bengals lost to the Los Angeles Rams, the future is bright for Chase.
However, the developers of the Madden NFL video game didn’t regard him yet as one of the top players at his position.

Chase said, “I’m going keep working. Extra motivation,” after sharing the list of the top ten wide receivers in Madden NFL 23.
His overall ranking of 87 is lower than the Cleveland Browns’ Amari Cooper, who has the tenth-best ranking at 90.
Las Vegas Raiders prized wideout Davante Adams tops the list at 99 while Cooper Kupp is at 98.
Tyreek Hill, DeAndre Hopkins, and Stefon Diggs complete the top five.
Also on the list are Justin Jefferson, Mike Evans, Terry McLaurin, and Keenan Allen.
It’s weird that Chase isn’t on the list even if he had the fourth-most receiving yards last season.
He also had the third-most touchdowns and tied for fifth in average yards per catch.
Chase Is On A Mission
In year two, Chase is raring to prove that he is the best wide receiver in the league.
If he cannot accept his low Madden rating, he would rather work his way up and make EA Sports’ developers notice.
That chip on his shoulder will be an advantage for the Bengals as they try to make a Super Bowl return trip.
For that to happen, Chase must maintain or exceed his performance last season.
If he does, he will have a line-of-nine rating in no time.
