Last month, Jamal Murray of the Denver Nuggets reacted to a fake leak of his NBA 2K24 player rating.
He wasn’t very happy with the alleged 84.
Now, the real rating has been revealed: 88.
And Murray still isn’t completely satisfied.
Hopping on Twitter, Murray posted an emoji of a frustrated, flabbergasted man and said, “will u ATLEAST fix my jumper then” and tagged NBA2K in the post.

An 88 is a strong number.
In fact, that’s four points higher than he was last season so it shows that he has made progress.
An 88 also puts him four points higher than San Antonio Spurs rookie Victor Wembanyama.
But it’s not enough for Murray.
Of course, a 2K rating isn’t truly definitive of how good or bad a player is.
Murray now has a Finals win, which is the best indicator of the sort of player he is.
He was a crucial piece for the Nuggets, especially during their Finals run.
During the postseason, Murray averaged 26.1 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 7.1 assists.
He also shot 39.6% from the three-point line during the playoffs too.
All of this came just months after he missed an entire season due to a nasty ACL injury that kept him sidelined for all of 2021-22.
Murray came back with a vengeance and was ready to prove something.
He did just that.
In the weeks ahead, we can expect to hear more complaints and praise from NBA players and fans as they get their hands on the latest 2K game and discover all the ratings.
Murray might not be happy with his but at least he has a championship ring to console him.
