It doesn’t get any better than winning an NBA championship.
Playing a significant role in one of those can boost your chances of being inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, not to mention the fact that it’s the ultimate, biggest prize any hooper could ever dream of.
That’s why it’s not unusual to see NBA players get pretty emotional when they win their first ring, which was the case with Denver Nuggets star Jamal Murray after beating the Miami Heat.

The Canadian combo guard had a heartwarming moment and was soaking it all in before celebrating the championship.
Notably, Murray has had to go through a lot to get to that point.
He suffered some major injuries and was able to come back as good as ever, but it took him some time, hard work, and mental strength.
The Nuggets organization was also right to stand by him instead of looking to trade him, as not many teams would’ve been as patient and understanding as they were with him.
Murray and Jokic are one of the best duos in the league right now, not only because of the numbers they put in but because of the way they understand and complement each other on the court.
And perhaps the best part about this NBA championship win is that they’re just entering their primes and still have several years of elite basketball ahead of them, so there’s reason to believe this is just the first of many more championships.
