The Miami Dolphins are hoping to contend for a Super Bowl championship this season, but those hopes were dealt a serious blow just days ago when star cornerback Jalen Ramsey suffered a knee injury.
He underwent surgery and is expected to be out for several weeks, perhaps until late in the season.
The veteran posted a photo of his surgically repaired left knee on Twitter and seems to be optimistic about overcoming this setback.

The Dolphins traded for Ramsey, who won a Super Bowl championship with the Los Angeles Rams, during the offseason in the hopes of rectifying what was a very weak defense last season.
They were 26th in passing touchdowns and 27th in passing yards allowed in 2022, and Ramsey was set to team up with fellow corner Xavien Howard to lock down opposing receivers.
Now, Miami may be forced to win more with offense than they may want to, but luckily, they seem to have the personnel to do so, at least for a period of time.
Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa started to blossom last fall, while Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle make up one of the most explosive wide receiver duos in the NFL.
There is also still the possibility they end up adding four-time Pro Bowl running back Dalvin Cook, who is still a free agent and is taking his time with deciding which team to sign with.
Cook is a native of Miami and has run for at least 1,100 yards and six touchdowns in each of the last four years.
