Los Angeles Rams cornerback Jalen Ramsey has been one of the best defensive backs in the league.
Ever since the Jacksonville Jaguars drafted him in 2016, he has become a five-time Pro Bowler and a three-time First-Team All-Pro.
But he recognizes the game of his fellow players and celebrates with them during their own achievements.
That’s why he congratulated Derwin James after the Los Angeles Chargers safety agreed to a four-year, $76.4 million contract extension.
That deal made James the highest-paid player in his position in terms of annual average value, beating Minkah Fitzpatrick by around $900,000 annually.
James will also receive $42 million in guaranteed money from the deal.

Ramsey and James both played for Florida State in college.
The cornerback suited up for the Seminoles from 2013 to 2015 while the safety donned the school uniform from 2015 to 2017.
During his stint at Tallahassee, Ramsey became a national champion, a two-time All-American, and a two-time First-Team All-ACC.
Meanwhile, James was a 2017 First-Team All-American and a First-Team All-ACC member in 2016 and 2017.
James’ NFL Career So Far
He has been a First-Team All-Pro two times, the first one coming during his rookie year.
In that season, he had 75 solo tackles, 13 passes defended, 3.5 sacks, and three interceptions.
After that impressive performance, he only played five games over the next two seasons due to knee and foot injuries.
He bounced back strong last season with 75 tackles, five passes defended, two sacks, two interceptions, and three forced fumbles.
Aside from his individual achievements, James and the Chargers’ defense would like to help bring their squad back to the playoffs after a three-year absence.
