On Thursday, MLB The Show revealed its latest “legends” player addition.
The new addition is right-hander Jake Peavy.
Over the course of his 15-year career, Peavy pitched with the San Diego Padres, Chicago White Sox, Boston Red Sox, and San Francisco Giants.
He won two World Series rings and a Cy Young Award and was also selected to three All-Star teams.
Peavy will appear in the game as he did during his time with the Padres.
On Twitter, the right-hander reacted to the news of him being added to the game, expressing excitement and predicting that his four sons would be excited to play as their dad when they get their hands on the game.
How cool! Some excited little Peavy’s ready to play.. when in doubt… slider! https://t.co/MXwdY7vm4O

Peavy posted a 39.2 WAR and a WHIP of 1.196 during his career.
He also won 152 games, posted a 3.63 ERA, and recorded 2,207 strikeouts in 2,377 innings of work.
His best season came in 2007.
That year, he won 19 games and posted a 2.54 ERA, which was enough to earn him his Cy Young Award.
He was part of the Red Sox and Giants’ World Series championship teams in 2013 and 2014, respectively.
But the right-hander is clearly excited to see that he has made it into this year’s edition of the hit MLB video game.
He’ll appear in the game as the best version of himself.
The game will release on PlayStation, XBOX, and Nintendo consoles on Tuesday, March 28.
However, users can receive early access on Friday, March 24 if they pre-order the game.
Jazz Chisholm Jr. was selected as the cover athlete of the game.
