The Green Bay Packers lost one of their best players in the offseason.
Jaire Alexander‘s time with the organization seemed all but over since the end of last season, and when they failed to find him a trade suitor or a restructured deal, they had no choice but to part ways with him.
And while he may not have left the team on the best of terms, he still has nothing but love and respect for the fans.
That’s why he made sure to send Packers fans a farewell message to let them know just how much he appreciated them (via IKE Packers Podcast):
“Hey Green Bay, even though I’m no longer a part of the team and now call Baltimore home, my heart remains in Titletown. I’ll always cherish the memories, the camaraderie, and the unwavering support of Cheesehead Nation. You guys will forever hold a special place in my heart. Once a Packer, always a Packer!” Alexander wrote.

Alexander is a fierce competitor.
He may have let his emotions get the best of him every now and then, but he also brought an unwavering passion and fire within him on every single snap.
Unfortunately, his body hasn’t held up as he would have wanted.
He was one of the best defensive backs in the league, not that long ago.
However, the Packers have had to learn to win without him due to the numerous games he missed.
He also didn’t seem to like the way he was treated, and he wasn’t the easiest player to have in the locker room at times.
Now, he will look to prove that he’s still an elite defensive force in the game.
The Baltimore Ravens didn’t need him, but if he can stay healthy when it matters the most, he might be one of the most impactful pickups of the offseason.
