After being suspended indefinitely and eventually getting traded from the Atlanta Falcons to the Jacksonville Jaguars, talented wide receiver Calvin Ridley is ready for a fresh start after getting reinstated by the NFL.
Ridley was caught gambling on football games and became the first prominent athlete in the league to be punished by the NFL for doing so.
Now he’ll have a chance to redeem himself with one of the more promising teams in the league, led by up-and-coming quarterback Trevor Lawrence.
On Tuesday, Ridley took to Twitter and announced he’d be wearing No. 0.

The Jaguars made the move to trade for Ridley last season, which is a move that no one saw coming and may turn out to be a game-changer for the Jacksonville passing game.
Lawrence came into his own during the 2022 campaign, showing the football world that he may finally be among the elite quarterbacks in the NFL.
Lawrence and the Jaguars have a long way to go, but the team is coming off a playoff appearance in which they took the eventual Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs to the limit in one of the most exciting games of this past postseason.
In his final season with the Falcons, Ridley played only five games for Atlanta.
In those five games, the Alabama product caught 31 passes for 281 yards and two touchdowns.
Ridley’s best season came in 2020 when he hauled in a career-high 90 receptions for 1,374 yards and nine touchdowns.
If Ridley can return to his 2020 form, the Jaguars will have gotten a steal and could have one of the more prolific passing games in the league.
