The NFL coaching carousel is spinning wildly, with Liam Coen suddenly becoming a hot commodity in the Jacksonville Jaguars’ search.
What started as a seemingly closed chapter has dramatically reopened, thanks to a stunning front office shakeup that’s caught everyone’s attention.
Reports emerged that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers had been unable to reach their offensive coordinator or his representatives despite multiple attempts.
Coen was said to be actively exploring the Jaguars’ head coaching opportunity after previously pulling out of a second interview.

The plot thickened when the Jaguars fired general manager Trent Baalke, a move that seemingly reignited Coen’s interest.
Further reports revealed that Coen reached out to Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles about a potential move to Jacksonville despite reportedly agreeing to a contract extension to remain on his staff.

Coen was on a list of candidates that included Robert Saleh, Patrick Graham and potential contenders Joe Brady and Kellen Moore.
Earlier reports suggested Baalke had deterred several coaching prospects, with Coen likely among them.
The recent hire of Ben Johnson by the Chicago Bears may have prompted Jaguars owner Shad Khan to make decisive organizational changes.
Their new strategy is particularly intriguing. It seems they plan to hire a head coach before selecting a general manager, which means the incoming coach will wield substantial organizational control.
This approach appears tailor-made to attract a high-caliber candidate like Coen, who now seems very interested in the opportunity.
