The Jacksonville Jaguars did not hold back in using their cap space for the 2022 season.
In a matter of days, they gave roughly $260 million worth of contracts to their top acquisitions.
The highest deal went to wide receiver Christian Kirk, who joined Jacksonville on a four-year $72 million deal.
The Jaguars also signed All-Pro guard Brandon Scherff on a three-year, $49.5 million deal and linebacker Foyesade Oluokun on a three-year, $45 million contract.
Jacksonville continued its free agency splurge with Darious Williams and Folorunso Fatukasi, who both got three-year deals worth $30 million.
Aside from Kirk and Scherff, they also added Zay Jones (three years, $24 million) and Evan Engram (one year, $9 million) on offense.
However, the Jaguars aren’t done with rebuilding their roster, as NFL Network insider Mike Garafolo reported.
The #Jaguars announced the signing of DL Arden Key. Source says it’s a one-year deal that’s worth up to $7 million.

Garafalo tweeted, “The #Jaguars announced the signing of DL Arden Key. Source says it’s a one-year deal that’s worth up to $7 million.”
Key has had an eventful free agency because he visited the Jaguars, the Detroit Lions, the Baltimore Ravens, and the Kansas City Chiefs.
In the end, the former LSU standout might have chosen the team that gave him the most money.
Why Key Is A Hot Commodity This Offseason
The edge rusher had a breakout 2021 season with the San Francisco 49ers.
He played in all 17 regular-season games and finished with ten solo tackles and 6.5 sacks.
His sack total is a significant jump, considering that he only had three sacks in his first three seasons.
Key joins an upgraded Jaguars defense that has Fatukasi, fellow edge rusher Josh Allen, and nose tackle Da’Von Hamilton.
Williams also fortifies their secondary with Shaquill Griffin and Rayshawn Jenkins.
Meanwhile, Oluokun will start at linebacker together with Shaq Quarterman.
