This has been a rocky year for Memphis Grizzlies star guard Ja Morant.
Although he has been one of the NBA’s brightest young stars and one of the most exciting ones, he has been involved in a number of disturbing incidents, including multiple gun-related incidents.
His most recent firearm incident has resulted in him being suspended for 25 games this coming season.
Morant was featured in a new video in which the theme is “rebirth,” via ClutchPoints.

Because of the incidents he has been involved with, Morant has received lots of criticism, and some are concerned that he may be keeping the wrong company around him.
One of the scariest aspects of these incidents, including two videos in which he was seen holding a gun, is the possibility that it may influence very young fans to think guns are a vanity item.
It’s a shame Morant has put himself in this situation because the Grizzlies have a very promising team.
They won 51 games and claimed the second seed in the Western Conference last season, and this summer they acquired former Defensive Player of the Year Marcus Smart, as well as veteran guard Derrick Rose, a one-time league MVP.
Many feel Memphis is knocking on the door of NBA championship contention, but unless Morant matures and keeps his craft as his main thing, the team will fall short in the playoffs, just as they did against the Los Angeles Lakers in the first round of the 2023 postseason.
