Opposing offenses feared defensive end J.J. Watt during his NFL days.
He never gave up on a play and had the strength to plow through any offensive lineman.
His tenacity earned him three NFL Defensive Player of the Year awards and seven All-Pro selections.
However, even one of football’s toughest men has their humiliating moments.
As NFL on ESPN shared, Watt recalled a recent interaction with a fan while on a hiking trip.
The Wisconsin native summarized the experience:
“Straight down to the ground. Slipped, feet out from under me. Hand down in the dirt…I looked like an idiot.” Watt said.
J.J. Watt had quite the moment in front of a fan while on a hike 😅

It’s hard to fathom a man who forced several quarterbacks to fall on the ground to have such an embarrassing encounter.
But as tough as he is on the football field during his 12-season career, Watt has a soft spot for fans and people in need.
His most significant achievement was raising $37 million to help Houston residents recover from Hurricane Harvey.
He also interacts with children and once dressed up as Batman to surprise the Texas Children’s Hospital patients during their 2015 Halloween party.
Watt retired after the 2022 NFL season, his second with the Arizona Cardinals.
He played his first ten seasons with the Houston Texans, where he became a star.
Watt has the most seasons with at least 20 sacks, achieving the feat in 2012 and 2014.
His numbers and credentials will speak for themselves when he’s up for induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
