The Chicago Bears made the big decision to hire Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson as their new head coach.
The 38-year-old will be looking to turn the ship around in the Windy City.
Future Hall of Fame edge-rusher and current CBS analyst J.J. Watt joined “The Pat McAfee Show” on Wednesday afternoon to give his take on the Ben Johnson hire.
“Chicago has to be excited…It feels like they got the No. 1, hot-ticket guy of this coaching carousel,” Watt said.

It feels like the organization finally made the right decision by hiring arguably the best head-coaching candidate available.
Johnson was an absolute game-changer for the Detroit Lions as their offensive coordinator.
He helped turn franchise quarterback Jared Goff into a star again while also helping to turn young players like Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jahmyr Gibbs, and Penei Sewell into All-Pro or Pro Bowl-caliber players.
It will likely be an uphill battle considering quarterback Caleb Williams, wide receiver Rome Odunze, and Co. are trying to find their footing as young players in an extremely tough division.
But nothing great in the NFL happens overnight, which is why most playoff and championship teams are built and coached steadily overtime.
The Bears will surely have a lot of eyes on them as they look to contend for the playoffs and beyond with Ben Johnson now at the helm.
