The Minnesota Vikings’ season ended in a heartbreaking fashion.
However, if there’s a silver lining, it is that the J.J. McCarthy era is closer to its start.
With that in mind, the Michigan product took to social media to showcase his new look.

McCarthy couldn’t be on the field in his first season in the league because of a major knee injury.
He watched Sam Darnold take the starting job and dominate, and there was a point in which it seemed like the Vikings would have a big debate on their hands.
Then, Darnold’s play in the final two games of the season may have helped McCarthy’s case.
Darnold played like a franchise-caliber player for most of the season before his collapse in the two most crucial games.
He may have lost a lot of money there, and the Vikings might now feel more inclined to roll with their rookie.
McCarthy reportedly operated as if he were the starter all year long, attending meetings, watching film, and preparing every week.
He’s expected to be back to full strength for the beginning of the 2025 season.
Of course, some believe he could still be on the move.
This NFL Draft class is weak at the quarterback position, and multiple teams coveted McCarthy last year.
If someone comes knocking with a Godfather-like offer the Vikings can’t refuse, they might consider parting ways with him.
Whatever the case, one thing’s for sure: the start of the 2025 season can’t come soon enough for J.J. McCarthy.
