The Los Angeles Clippers did better than expected in 2024-25, and one of the main reasons why was Ivica Zubac.
The 28-year-old big man has been a terrific asset for Los Angeles all year, and that has translated to great games in the playoffs, too.
As pointed out by StatMuse, Zubac was sensational during Game 5 against the Denver Nuggets.
He posted 27 points, five rebounds, and two blocks, going 11-of-15 from the field.
That was a playoff career high in scoring and a sign that Zubac is officially one of the best big men in the league right now.

Clippers fans have been celebrating Zubac for years, claiming that he was far better than others were giving him credit for.
This has been a breakout year for him, and he has averaged 16.8 points and 12.6 rebounds per game.
Those were easily the highest numbers of his career, and he gained a lot of attention throughout the season.
People were calling Zubac a contender for Defensive Player of the Year and Most Improved Player.
His stats have gotten better, and his chemistry with the rest of the squad has as well.
He is a crucial part of the success the team found in 2024-25, and Clippers fans hope he remains in Los Angeles for many years to come.
It’s do-or-die for the Clippers now because the Nuggets have claimed three wins in their current series.
That means Los Angeles will need more big performances from their big man.
Some people crumble under the bright lights of the playoffs, but that isn’t happening with Zubac.
Instead, he is continuing to have an iconic year to remember.
