The Orlando Magic got a real hooper in Paolo Banchero.
He proved right away that those who believed he shouldn’t have been the No. 1 pick were wrong to doubt him, establishing himself as the most dominant rookie we had seen in years.
More than that, Banchero seems to be the kind of workaholic that will always look to improve his craft, and he’s going to get a lot better from working out and playing with Team USA this summer.
At least, that’s what former NBA guard Isaiah Thomas believes, as he recently talked about Banchero and his desire to learn and get better in his appearance on Gil’s Arena (via ClutchPoints).
"[Paolo Banchero] doesn't know how good he is yet. And that's the dope thing about him… He's just a sponge, he's always texting asking questions on how to get better."

Thomas revealed that Banchero is constantly texting him and asking him about ways to get better and improve his game.
Banchero has a unique skill set, as he can put the ball on the floor and create for others despite being a forward, and he’s got an unlimited range to pull up from all over the court as well.
But besides his skills and physical traits, that work ethic and determination to always one-up himself might be the biggest key behind his rapid rise and success.
The Magic will still need to add at least another piece next to him to be ready to compete at a high level and make the playoffs.
But they might have a legit superstar in the making on their hands.
