If Aaron Rodgers had his way, he would like to win another Super Bowl with the Green Bay Packers.
Unfortunately, the team squandered another opportunity to reach the NFC Championship Game after losing to the San Francisco 49ers at Lambeau Field.
The Packers had every opportunity to put the visitors away but couldn’t.
The 38-year-old quarterback takes part of the blame after completing only 20 passes for 225 yards and zero touchdowns.
It’s a disappointing finish to his season wherein he had 4,115 yards, 37 touchdowns, and only four interceptions.
But those numbers are nothing after Green Bay went one-and-done in the postseason.
Rodgers will go to the offseason with their season over, pondering his football future.
Retirement Is An Option
If the Divisional Weekend loss was his final NFL game, it’s fair to remember Rodgers for his accomplishments.
He replaced a legend in Brett Favre, which was not easy, considering the comparisons early in his career.
Favre’s retirement drama also affected his place on the team.
But he took off once he won the starting role and led the Packers to victory in Super Bowl XLV over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Since he became the starting quarterback in 2008, the Packers missed the playoffs only three times and he led the team to five NFC Championship Games.
He was the league MVP three times and a First-Team All-Pro four times.
Rodgers is also a ten-time Pro Bowler.
Continuing His NFL Journey Elsewhere
Talks about Rodgers playing for another team are intensifying.
The Denver Broncos seem to be the frontrunners for his next destination, given their talented crew.
Melvin Gordon III and Javonte Williams gain yards from the backfield while Jerry Jeudy, Courtland Sutton, Tim Patrick, and Noah Fant are an excellent receiving crew.
Packers offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett is also a finalist for Denver’s vacant head coaching position.

Broncos fans claim they are a quarterback away from being a legitimate contender, and Rodgers could fulfill their wishes.
The Pittsburgh Steelers are also a possible choice, given their defense and young athletes on offense like Chase Claypool, Diontae Johnson, and Najee Harris.
Likewise, Ben Roethlisberger already hinted that 2021 might be his final season.
Both options are enticing, and Rodgers can significantly improve both rosters.
The oddsmakers think the Steelers have the 2nd best odds of landing Aaron Rodgers. They're right more than they're wrong. They don't throw shit against the wall. Take it with a grain of salt if you want. But it's not nothing. Vegas always knows.

However, transferring to these teams comes with risks.
Would he want to transfer to a division with Derek Carr, Justin Herbert, and Patrick Mahomes?
The AFC North isn’t a cakewalk with Baker Mayfield, Lamar Jackson, and Joe Burrow.
Staying With The Packers
After looking at various options, Rodgers will most likely return to Green Bay and give it another shot.
Making the playoffs is no guarantee in the AFC, while the NFC North is one of the easiest paths to the postseason.
But if he stays, the Packers front office has much work to do because they are already $40 million over the projected salary cap for next season.

That’s not good news for a team that would like to re-sign Davante Adams, Rasul Douglas, Whitney Mercilus, and Allen Lazard, to name a few.
Getting Rodgers back will motivate those players to stay in Green Bay once the team has created the necessary cap room.
Bringing the band together with Rodgers at the helm helps them deal with unfinished business.
