It took a long time, but Jonathan Kuminga is officially signed with the Golden State Warriors again.
After months of speculation, news stories, and intrigue, Kuminga has agreed to a two-year, $48.5 million deal with Golden State.
He participated in a preseason game earlier this week, and Marc Spears said that Kuminga was looking great on the court.
When asked what he saw during Kuminga’s performance, Spears was direct and reassuring.

Kuminga was obviously happy during this preseason game, scoring five points, six rebounds, and four assists during his limited time on the floor.
Spears noted that Kuminga was spotted dancing on the sidelines with a smile on his face, reaffirming that he seems happy to be with the team.
Spears tipped his hat to other vets on the Warriors, such as Steph Curry.
Throughout the negotiation process, Curry, Draymond Green, and Jimmy Butler made it clear that they wanted Kuminga back in the lineup.
In fact, a lot of people believe they are the reason that the Warriors offered another contract to Kuminga.
During the summer, it seemed unlikely that Kuminga would be pleased with this team.
He desires a bigger role and more responsibility, and there is just no guarantee that he will get that with Steve Kerr’s team.
But this one preseason game featured a joyful Kuminga, which could be a promising sign of things to come.
Fans hope so because a happy and healthy Kuminga could bring a lot to the Warriors.
Right now, most people still believe that Kuminga will be traded to another team before the end of the season, but perhaps he’s there to stay with a smile on his face.
