Luka Doncic is the heart and soul of the Dallas Mavericks.
The organization relies on his brilliance to lead them to victory more often than not.
Keeping that in mind, an injury to Doncic during the ever-so-critical moment of the season could prove to be devastating for the Mavericks.
Well, Doncic suffered a hamstring injury during the Mavericks’ recent matchup against the Golden State Warriors.
Doncic missed the next game vs. the Oklahoma City Thunder and it resulted in a Mavs defeat.
With that being said, Doncic’s return to the roster has become even more important as we approach the final stretch of the season.
On that note, NBA insider Shams Charania recently provided a positive update about Doncic’s status ahead of the Sunday night clash against the Denver Nuggets, via “Run It Back.”
“They have that showdown against the Nuggets on Sunday, there’s obviously hope internally with the Mavericks that Luka Doncic will be fine for that game,” Charania said on Doncic’s recent hamstring injury.

Charania revealed that Doncic’s MRI came back clean, which is a great sign.
The veteran NBA insider claimed it could mean that the European superstar may not miss a significant amount of time this season.
In fact, Charania pointed out that the Mavericks believe Doncic could be back for the team’s upcoming game vs. the Nuggets.
Considering the Nuggets are the second seed in the Western Conference, the Mavericks need Doncic on the court to have a shot at defeating the reigning champions of the league.
After all, the Mavericks are yet to defeat the Nuggets in a game this season.
