After an incredible run to the NFL playoffs and winning the NFC North division title with relative ease, the Minnesota Vikings are having a rough season in 2023, as nothing has gone right for the franchise, leading to a lot of speculation of a fire sale of sorts ahead of the NFL trade deadline on October 31.
The one name that has consistently surfaced as a potential trade candidate for the Vikings ahead of the deadline is veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins, who has a no-trade clause in his contract.
However, Cousins seems more than content with staying with the Vikings moving forward, which means the team could look elsewhere on the roster to make some moves in hopes of getting better in the near future.
The other big-name player that has been linked to potentially being traded before Halloween is the NFL’s sack leader, Danielle Hunter, who is obviously a desirable player for any contending team around the league.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Vikings could move Hunter ahead of the deadline, even though no substantial offers have been made at this point, via Dov Kleiman.
Update: #Vikings could possibly move NFL sack leader DE/LB Danielle Hunter, per @AdamSchefter
Schefter says he's a player to watch for the trade deadline if the team keeps losing and it depends if they get the right offer.

With Hunter playing at the top of his game at the moment, even though the same can’t be said for the team as a whole in Minnesota, teams are bound to come calling if there’s a need in the pass-rush department.
It’ll be interesting to see what teams might emerge as potential trade candidates for Hunter with about a week left until the buzzer sounds on the trade deadline in the NFL.
