The Oklahoma City Thunder have been NBA champions for less than a week, but they are already making big plans for their future.
They aren’t content to stay the same, and they believe their ceiling is even higher.
Therefore, they may attempt to make noise in this week’s NBA draft.
Speaking to ESPN, Jonathan Givony suggested the Thunder could move up in the draft and secure some more talent for their deep roster.
“I keep hearing rumblings that the Thunder are trying to move up (in the draft). They have 15, 24, 44. They could package all three of those picks, look to move up 4 or 5 slots, maybe 6 to Toronto,” Givony said, via NBA Retweet.
Could OKC move up in the draft?

It is wild to think of the Thunder somehow getting better, especially in the days after becoming champions.
But one of the things that makes this team so special is the number of assets they have.
The front office has been accumulating a boatload of draft picks over the years, which is one of the reasons they’re in their current position.
Now, they want to cash some of them in and improve their place in the draft.
But, why?
If they are so good now, why add anything?
Perhaps they like someone in the draft who could develop into yet another star, or maybe the Thunder are thinking of putting a rookie into a trade package.
There are several reasons why the Thunder want to be active in the draft, even though they are the best team in the NBA right now.
Some people believe the Thunder could become a dynasty because they have a lot of win-now talent and also plenty of options moving forward.
This may just be the beginning of many years of Thunder dominance.
