The New York Giants got an absolute stud in Malik Nabers.
Despite some subpar quarterback play this season, the LSU product has proven to be as good as advertised.
Nevertheless, as great as he’s been, he may not have been what the Giants needed.
GM Joe Schoen’s decision to double down on Daniel Jones despite bad play and his history with injuries set this team back.
HC Brian Daboll stated after Sunday’s win that the team hasn’t had consistent quarterback play this season.
That comment didn’t sit well with Giants insider Pat Leonard, who also called out Daboll.
The #Giants passed on Bo Nix and Michael Penix Jr. Brian Daboll today lamented not having consistent good quarterback play, an apparent appeal to ownership
What an operation

The Giants could’ve had Bo Nix or Michael Penix Jr., both of whom looked quite good in their debut season.
Daboll was caught on tape stating that he would gladly move on from Jones.
Nabers can potentially become one of the best wide receivers in the game in no time, but he cannot throw himself the ball.
It’s hard to imagine how Schoen would get to keep his job after the moves he made in the offseason.
He allowed a 2,000-rushing-yard running back, who also happened to be the undisputed best player on the team, to walk away to sign with a divisional rival.
He did so to double down on an ever-struggling quarterback whose breakout year was rather unimpressive and who’s not even with the team anymore.
