The Major League Baseball offseason has not been disappointing with the amount of excitement that has taken place thus far.
Even after the signing of top free agent Juan Soto to the New York Mets, there have been plenty of other big-name players changing teams either via trade or free agency.
With all of the signings that have already occurred, there are still two-star free agents who are yet to sign with a team for the 2025 season.
The top starting pitcher free agent Corbin Burnes of the Baltimore Orioles is still available while third baseman Alex Bregman of the Houston Astros is also available.
MLB Insider Jeff Passan revealed when these two free agents will likely sign.
“It’s ‘likely’ that Alex Bregman and Corbin Burnes won’t sign until after Christmas,” Passan said via B/R Walk-Off on ‘X.’

Burnes is the top starting pitching free agent available who had an exceptional season with the Orioles in 2024.
In 2024, Burnes started 32 games where he had a record of 15-9 with a 2.92 ERA and 181 strikeouts in 194.1 innings pitched.
The San Francisco Giants and Toronto Blue Jays are teams known to be interested in Burnes, but he will be a name to keep an eye on as we enter the holiday season.
Bregman is the other free agent mentioned by Passan, and he also had a good year in 2024 with the Astros.
In 2024, Bregman played in 145 games where he batted .260 with 26 home runs, 75 RBIs, and a .768 OPS.
The Blue Jays also appear to be interested in Bregman while the Boston Red Sox have also been mentioned to be pursuing the third baseman.
