There has been a lot of talk about the Warriors approaching the trade market before the league deadline in February.
According to Evan Sidery, the team is expected to be active as buyers on the trade market and will use their more than $30 million in expiring contracts.
Furthermore, there is speculation the team will put Jonathan Kuminga on the market as a way to bring in more All-Star talent around Stephen Curry.

Some people were disappointed when the Warriors didn’t pull off a blockbuster trade during the summer, but the team definitely tried.
There was talk of them trying to land Paul George, Lauri Markkanen, and more.
In the end, Golden State’s front office wasn’t able to put anything together and instead added smaller additions such as Kyle Anderson and Buddy Hield.
But now the trade deadline is right around the corner, and the Warriors are reportedly making big plans.
It seems likely that the team will commit to something substantial and maybe even bring another A-list star to the team.
This will require shedding a lot of contracts, and the Warriors could look vastly different in a few months.
